**UPDATE – October 2, 2008**
The domain names: Slamfans.com,
Slamfans.net, and Beltmarks.com have successfully been transferred to our
new web host. Over the next few days, I will be importing the Slamfans
forum database into its new home. From there I will reactivate the phpBB2 forums
and attempt to convert the database into the phpBB3 forums. Though the
phpBB3 forums may not be available to everyone right away, the phpBB2
forums will stay active until the new one is error free.
The new web host seems to be much faster,
have more features and most importantly, the security that we need to
prevent what happened on the old server.
If anyone runs into the old problem where
the domain names listed above link/forward you to a website with malicious
scripting, please report it A.S.A.P.! The only thing I have carried over
from the old server is the database. I want to be sure that the database
itself is not infected (even though its been thoroughly picked apart to be
sure that it is script free.)
The ETA on the return of the forums is:
Sunday, October 5, 2008.
Time will only tell how this web host
does.
